YKC Handling & Obedience Training

We will be holding handling and obedience training both on Saturday 6 July and Sunday 7 July at the Boston Championship Show held at Rutland Showground. YKC members can either come along and train for one day or both days. Great weekend to brush up your skills for the competing months ahead or getting started. Fun team games to take part in and meet new friends! You can also camp at the show and can be pre booked via fosse data or you can pay on arrival.

YKC Members:
Open to all YKC Members aged 6-24 years. If the member is under 18 years of age, then one accompanying parent/guardian must attend at no charge. Must be a fully paid-up member to attend.
Cost:
£20 Training per day
£6.00 Crufts Handling Qualifier to pay on the day.

9:00am – 9:45am – Training Session One
9:45am – 10:00am - Break
10:00am – 10:45 – Training Session Two
10:45am – 11:45am – Team Game
11:45am – 1:00pm - Lunch
1:00pm – 1:45pm – Training Session Three
1:45pm – 2:00pm - Break
2:00pm – 2:45pm – Training Session Four or Handling Qualifier
2:45pm - End.
Extra Information:
Training will take place outdoors on grass, please wear appropriate clothing for the weather. Please bring water bottles, we do not supply lunch, but there will be food outlets onsite and close to the showground. You can bring umbrellas or sunshade shelters and chairs.

- Dogs must be at least 6 months old to attend this training session
- Dogs must be on a lead unless training requires them to be off lead
- No person shall carry out harsh handling of their dog at any time during the event
- No dog that has contracted or been knowingly exposed to any infectious or contagious disease during the 21 days prior to the event, or which is suffering from a visible condition that adversely affects its health or welfare is to be brought to the event
- Please make sure you clear up after your dog at the venue
