Visit The Kennel Club Roadshow at Scottish Kennel Club for help, information and enquiries

The Kennel Club Roadshow, executive team and directors will be at Scottish Kennel Club Championship dog shows next week which are taking place from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 May 2025 at the Royal Highland Showground, Ingliston, Edinburgh.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with Kennel Club executives and directors, including Jannine Edgar, Chief Executive, Helen Kerfoot, Chief Canine Health, Events and Activities Officer, and Emma Dyer, Marketing and Communications Executive, alongside Board Directors who will be based on the Kennel Club Roadshow Stand and will be happy to speak with show attendees about the organisation’s ongoing work. Kennel Club members are especially encouraged to stop by for a chat about the upcoming AGM on 24 June.

The Kennel Club Roadshow Stand will be located in the Central Hall (with other trade stands) and open from 8.30am. Representatives from the digital transformation and canine activities team will be in attendance and able to help with questions around the digitisation of certificates and other showing enquires. Regional Support Advisor Tania Gardener will also be in attendance and is looking forward to meeting exhibitors and organisers of shows and events, as well as helping with any club administration enquiries.

Scottish Kennel Club is once again combining their All breed (May) and General (October) Championship shows into one event – giving exhibitors a unique opportunity to compete at two Championship Shows on the same day.

Eight breed clubs are also holding their shows in partnership with the double Scottish Kennel Club shows.

Elsewhere at the show, inside the main hall, The Kennel Club’s Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme is running bronze level tests. Dog owners of any fitness level can take part at a £5 cost, no pre-booking is required. Further information on the Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme is available here

Young Kennel Club (YKC) members will have the chance to qualify for Crufts 2026 in the YKC grooming competition, as heats will be taking place on Saturday 17 May from 8.30am. 1st and 2nd place in each class will qualify. Entries, which cost £6, can be emailed here and entries close Friday 9 May. Please send name; age; membership number; class to enter; dog breed and Kennel Club name to above email address.

In addition, Alexander McKenzie (Eye Panellist) from MBM Vet Group will be holding eye testing sessions under the BVA/KC/ISDS Scheme each day. The cost of the test will be £55. No appointment is necessary. Please remember to bring along the dog’s Kennel Club registration form.

Elsewhere, Kennel Club Respiratory Function Grading scheme assessments will be provided by Dr Laura Hamilton BVM&S PgC SAC PgC SAM MRCVS from Animals 1st Vets. Assessments are available for Bulldogs, French Bulldogs and Pugs at £60 per dog. Heart testing is also available – VCS Heart Auscultation will cost £45.00 per dog.

The full classification and judging order, and more information about the show, can be found via Scottish Kennel Club.

The Kennel Club Roadshow will next head to Bath Canine Society at Three Shires Field, Bannerdown, Bath from 23-26 May 2025, where Executives and staff will again be available throughout the event to answer any questions attendees might have about The Kennel Club’s work and initiatives.

The Kennel Club’s Roadshow will be appearing at other Championship shows in 2025
