Lennie, a Border Collie, and his owner Lorna Hilton from Brighton, East Sussex, took home the top obedience prize for dogs at Crufts on Saturday 9 March, after winning the Obedience Championship (dog) final. The judge was Rob Bint.
Nine-year-old Lennie (Ob Ch Halligalli Take A Bow), came first in the final held at the world’s greatest dog show, Crufts, after competing against some of Britain’s best dogs for the coveted title.
All competitors at the championships had made it through to the final after qualifying at one of the championship shows that were held last year.
Proud owner Lorna said: “I’m over the moon and a bit in awe of it all! Lennie has had the reserve twice, and to have the win when I am probably going to retire him at the end of the year - it was my last chance to get the big win so a very emotional day!”
Helen Kerfoot, Crufts Show Manager said: “Very well done to Lennie and Lorna for their impressive display in the ring today and earning their well-deserved win. Lennie demonstrated his obedience skills perfectly and their strong bond and teamwork were clear to see.

“Obedience competitors come from far and wide to showcase their skills at the show and the standard of dogs and their handlers who enter are always very impressive.”
