Registered society annual general meetings and annual returns

In February 2021 the Board directed that registered societies may relax / suspend some constitutional provisions, through its enactment of Regulation C5.e. This allowed societies to process routine AGM business by adopting interim arrangements such as postal / online voting or remote meetings, as appropriate. The enactment of the Regulation was initially for a six-month period and was then extended to 31 December 2021. As it is appreciated that some societies may still need more time to arrange general meetings, the Board has extended the enactment of the Regulation and deadline for annual returns to 31 July 2022.
