Kennel Club Announces 2017 Qualifying Heats For Olympia Agility Stakes

The Kennel Club has announced a list of qualifying heats for 2017 for one of the most important agility events in the UK, the Kennel Club Olympia Agility Stakes, which are held in association with Skinner’s pet foods.

The qualifying heats are spread across the country, giving more Kennel Club Registered Societies the opportunity to host a Kennel Club qualifier and competitors more opportunities to qualify.

Every year the country's most talented agility dogs and handlers vie with each other in qualifying heats at agility shows across the UK to get one step closer to competing at the Olympia Agility Stakes finals, which takes place every December as part of the London International Horse Show.

Those who qualify in their respective class at one of the heats will then compete in the semi-finals, held at the International Agility Festival at Rockingham Castle on 10-13th August 2017. A number of lucky finalists will go on to the Olympia finals in London next December.

Earlier in the month the Kennel Club was offering the opportunity for registered societies to hold a large ABC qualifying heat, after another society had to give it up. This has now been filled by Mid Downs Dog Agility Club.

This year the Olympia stakes will be taking place from 15-19th December 2016 for those wanting to catch the finalists in action. Read more information on the Kennel Club Olympia Agility Stakes.
