Flame, a Border Collie, and her owner Suzy Tooley from Woburn, Bedfordshire took home one of the top obedience prizes at Crufts on Saturday 12th March after winning the Obedience Championships (Bitches) final.
Suzy, who has been involved in obedience for 30 years, and three year-old Flame came first in the final held at the 125th anniversary of the world's greatest dog show, Crufts, after competing against some of Britain's best dogs for the coveted title.
All competitors at the championships had made it through to the final from one of the 46 Championship shows that hosted qualifying classes for the Crufts Obedience Championships.
Proud owner Suzy said: "I am feeling totally overwhelmed to have won. Flame showed a maturity and ability to cope in such a special and unique setting, way beyond her tender years and I am immensely proud of her."
Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary said: "Obedience is a fascinating competition, and you can clearly see how much the dogs enjoy taking part in the activity which, ultimately, is helping them to behave at their best. Competitive obedience is exactly what you would imagine - obedient and well trained dogs being tested to their maximum ability.
