The Kennel Club has announced that the Bavarian Mountain Hound will transfer from the Imported Breed Register to the Breed Register with effect from 1 April 2022.
The breed was recognised by The Kennel Club in 1990 and classified in the hound group. An interim breed standard was published in 2008 allowing the breed to be exhibited in Imported Breed Register classes. From April of next year, the Bavarian Mountain Hound will be eligible to have separate breed classes.
