Role Description and Terms
The Heelwork to Music Liaison Council exists to support and represent the interests of individuals, clubs, and societies involved in Heelwork to Music. It plays an important role in keeping communication open between the community and The Kennel Club on matters relating to the activity. As a council representative we will support you to actively listen to a wide range of views within the community and share those perspectives with The Kennel Club.
What do we aim to achieve through our council representatives?
Working together for positive change
We aim to build a clearer understanding of the challenges facing the Heelwork to Music community and take thoughtful, collective steps to ensure all participants, competitors, clubs, and societies can enjoy and benefit from everything the activity has to offer.
Joining voices for greater impact
We seek to highlight the positive impact Heelwork to Music has on the wellbeing, development, and enjoyment of both dogs and their handlers, while encouraging wider understanding and support for the activity across the canine community.
Strengthening our community together
We focus on connecting with one another, sharing best practices, and creating a supportive environment where individuals, clubs, and societies can learn, grow, and thrive, helping to secure a strong future for Heelwork to Music.
Staying connected to our grassroots
As a representative, you will play a key role in gathering feedback and sharing those perspectives on agenda items. This may involve arranging meetings or using other methods to stay in touch with the community. Guidance and support will be provided once you take on the role.
