The History of the Labrador Retriever lecture at the Kennel Club

A lecture by Richard Edwards at the Kennel Club Art Gallery

Esteemed breed historian Richard Edwards will visit the Kennel Club on 24th May 2016 to give a lecture on 'The History of the Labrador Retriever'.

Mr Edwards is the author of 'The Show Labrador in Great Britain and Northern Ireland' and 'Sandylands', a volume detailing the history of this well-known Labrador Retriever kennel. He regularly undertakes lectures regarding the history of the breed and was instrumental in the formulation of the Kennel Club's current exhibition, 'The Labrador Retriever in Art'.

This special event is being held in conjunction with the Labrador Retriever exhibition, which contains many items of note including significant loans from the Munden Kennel, the Royal Collection, the Devonshire Collection and the Buccleuch Collection.

The lecture will take place in the Kennel Club Art Gallery from 11am. Tickets are priced at £7.50 and include a buffet sandwich lunch. Guests attending the lecture will also have the opportunity to view 'The Labrador Retriever in Art' exhibition.
