New Date Added for The History of the Labrador Retriever Lecture

A lecture by Richard Edwards at the Kennel Club Art Gallery

Due to popular demand, esteemed breed historian Richard Edwards will be giving an additional lecture on 'The History of the Labrador Retriever' at the Kennel Club on 21st June.

Mr Edwards is the author of 'The Show Labrador in Great Britain and Northern Ireland' and 'Sandylands', a volume detailing the history of this well-known Labrador Retriever kennel. He regularly undertakes lectures regarding the history of the breed and was instrumental in the formulation of the Kennel Club's current exhibition, 'The Labrador Retriever in Art'.

This special event is being held in conjunction with the Labrador Retriever exhibition, which contains many items of note including significant loans from the Munden Kennel, the Royal Collection, the Devonshire Collection and the Buccleuch Collection.

The lecture will take place in the Kennel Club Art Gallery from 11am, with tea and coffee served in the gallery foyer from 10.30am. Tickets are priced at £7.50 and include a buffet sandwich lunch. Guests attending the lecture will also have the opportunity to view 'The Labrador Retriever in Art' exhibition.
