Young Kennel Club Social Managers: Laura Gardner and David Griffiths
Once onsite you will meet our wonderful social club team managers Laura Gardner and David Griffiths who have a brilliant programme to keep our teams very busy and plenty of opportunities for family members to join too!
For those of you who are new to camp, we have a team social evening each night and we encourage all parents and siblings to join us to support the teams. Each member will be allocated a social team and they will have two fab team leaders to help the team.
Here is a guide to each activity that will give you all the information you will need:
Sunday night – Family Quiz Night
An updated take on our traditional family quiz night which serves as an icebreaker and getting to know everyone. Great games to play, prizes to win and a song to sing! Everyone welcome (in the marquee).
Monday night – I’m a YKC member - get me out of here
The teams will be heading down under to take on new challenges and lots of different games to play against the clock! Parents and siblings, there is also a chance for you to make your own teams and join in the fun - and take on the challenges!
Australian themed fancy dress required and spot prizes to be won!
Tuesday night – Gladiators
Gladiators Readdddyyyyyyy, Competitors Readdddyyyyyy join us as we take on the team challenges and face the Gladiators!
Team members, remember to pack suitable footwear.
What you need to bring: Sensible footwear, water bottle.
Wednesday night – Barn Dance Night
Family fun night! Favourite camp night, as its time to all join in and dance!!! We have our band back and a family BARN DANCE! Grab your hat and boots to join the hoedown throwdown. Find that western outfit! There will be prizes for the best fancy dress parents and teams, so come on down and yee haa and join in the fun.
What you need to bring – western fancy dress, comfy shoes.
Thursday night – talent night
This is THE evening of camp and a great chance for everyone on site to join us to party the evening away. The evening entertainment will be provided by the brilliant teams who will be performing the routines they have practiced throughout the week, with their team leaders. Music will be given to the team onsite. We can’t wait to see everyone dancing the night away.
The Theme for the last night party this year is MUSICALS. All team members will stay in their outfits for their dance, so you won’t need to change. Parents and siblings are invited to join us in dressing up with the chance to win best-dressed prizes.
What you need to bring: Fancy Dress in a Musical that you love!
Best in Show Team Camp 2024
This is what all your hard work at team time has been working towards, the coveted Camp champ rosettes. Throughout the week all your points will be added together and the winners will be announced during the last night's party.

Camp Challenges
During the week, the teams will take part in a camp challenges, working together the teams must create the brief they have been given. Teams can win big points from the challenge but remember there are also bonus points on offer for teams that work well together.
Bonus Points
This year as well as the points you can gain from training and social nights, there will be bonus points on offer that will be handed out to teams and members who are showing great teamwork and lots of enthusiasm.
It really is the taking part that counts.
One more thing...
Camp is about having fun with new friends. It doesn’t matter if you have never danced before or you don't believe that being creative is your thing- it’s the taking part and being a part of a team that counts. Join in, have fun, and make Camp 2024 the best Camp ever!
