Young Kennel Club Social Manager: Fay Moore
Once onsite you will meet our wonderful Young Kennel Club Social Manager Fay Moore who has a brilliant programme to keep our teams very busy and plenty of opportunities for family members to join too!
The social programme is a highlight for many and this year we have created some new events but also brought back old favourites. For those of you who are new to camp, we have a team social evening each night and we encourage all parents and siblings to join us to support the teams.
Our handy social programme guide below gives you a sneak peek and a handy guide to each activity that will give you all the information you will need to have a fabulous time!
Sunday night - family quiz night
Monday night – Crystal Maze
Tuesday night – the Commonwealth Games night
What you need to bring: Sensible footwear for sports night.
Wednesday night - family Ceilidh dance
What you need to bring – St Patricks Day fancy dress, comfy shoes.
Thursday night – end of term school disco
This is THE evening of camp and a great chance for everyone on site to join us to party the evening away. The evening entertainment will be provided by the brilliant teams who will be performing the routines they have practiced throughout the week.
This year, instead of creating their own routine, teams will be leading the entire disco in well-known dance classics, from The Macarena to YMCA. We can’t wait to see everyone dancing the night away.
The Theme for the last night party this year is school fancy dress. All team members will stay in their school uniform outfits for their dance, so you won’t need to change. Parents and siblings are invited to join us in dressing up with the chance to win best-dressed prizes.
What you need to bring: School fancy dress.
Best in Show- Camp 2021
Other activities on throughout the week
Camp Challenges
During the week, the teams will take part in three camp challenges that are based on three one-hour sessions. Working together the teams must create the brief they have been given. Teams can win big points from the challenges, but remember there are also bonus points on offer for teams that work well together.
What you need to bring: please bring a small selection of recycling such as cardboard, plastic bottles, egg cartons etc.
Bonus Points
This year as well as the points you can gain from training and social nights, there will be bonus points on offer that will be handed out to teams and members who are showing great teamwork and lots of enthusiasm. It really is the taking part that counts
One more thing...
Camp is about having fun with new friends. It doesn’t matter if you have never danced before or you don't believe that being creative is your thing- it’s the taking part and being a part of a team that counts. Join in, have fun and make Camp 2022 the best Camp ever!
