2024 Gundog Working Test

The decision has been made to cancel The Kennel Club Gundog Working Tests, and associated events, which were due to be held on Thursday 6 – Sunday 9 June 2024. The cancellation is due to the ongoing wet weather conditions which has caused severe flooding across many areas of the Estate.

The decision to cancel the event has not been taken lightly as many of the arrangements are already in place, but the weather has been sadly against us and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all attendees must remain our priority.

We would like to thank all those that have entered and supported the Gundog Working Tests.

Gundog working tests

The Kennel Club's gundog working tests are held in high regard by competitors for the varied and challenging nature of the tests. Together with the superb surroundings and terrain offered by the Capesthorne setting, it is easy to understand the attraction for the very best handlers and dogs in the country to prove themselves. With nearly 200 dogs comprising Retrievers, Spaniels and HPR breeds competing over the two days of competition, this is the landmark event of the calendar.
