The Young Kennel Club Pat Dufty Legacy Award recognises an individual or group of volunteers who have positively influenced the Young Kennel Club, through their voluntary work. Whether they have demonstrated exceptional leadership, established programs to support members or implemented sustainable change, the award celebrates those who have made a lasting and meaningful impact that others will continue to benefit from.

These awards are named in honour of the Young Kennel Club long term champion and supporter, Pat Dufty. Being part of the KCJO/YKC since the beginning, Pat was the ultimate volunteer, delivering countless training days and events as well as supporting and mentoring future YKC volunteers.

Award Categories
  1. Long-term Impact: Recognises volunteers who have contributed to the Young Kennel Club consistently over many years.

  2. Sustainable Contributions: Recognises clubs and volunteers who have helped create systems, programs, or resources for the Young Kennel Club, that will remain valuable after their departure.

  3. Leadership and Mentorship: Recognises individuals who have not only volunteered for the Young Kennel Club but have also inspired, guided, or mentored others to become involved and committed with the organisation.

  4. Inspiration for Future Volunteers: Recognises volunteers who embody the YKC values and demonstrate a commitment that motivate others to volunteer for the Young Kennel Club and carry forward their legacy.
