Become a KCAI Scheme Member

The KCAI Scheme is a UK-wide membership-based scheme which offers its members the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised, vocational accreditation award, based on standards set by the Kennel Club. It is the only scheme in the UK for dog training instructors that is externally verified by City and Guilds the UK’s leading awarding organisation in the land-based sector – encompassing animal care.

Dog training instructors and canine behaviourists will enhance their reputation by becoming members of the Scheme and gaining Accredited Instructor status. In recognition of achieving this, members are formally certificated by City & Guilds.

All KCAI Scheme members are required to abide by the Code of Practice which sets out the principles governing their professional conduct and training practices, as well as other membership terms and conditions. More information can be found below.

A guide taking you through the stages to achieve accreditation can be found here.
