Crufts 2020 early and late starts and changes of ring

7th February 2020 - 3:30 PM

With an entry of almost 20,000 dogs heading to Birmingham NEC to compete at Crufts 2020, arrangements have been reviewed to assist exhibitors from 5th - 8th March.

Whilst judging will start at 9am in most rings, there are a number of breeds with early and late starts on all days. However, early starts have been kept to a minimum wherever possible. Three breeds have also been allocated new rings in order to make timings more efficient.

The Kennel Club is alerting anyone travelling to Crufts of road closures in the West Midlands area which may affect journeys to and from Birmingham NEC.

The Highways Agency has released the following advice for those travelling in the local West Midlands area:

  • A45 and A46 full road closure in both directions from the Stivichall Island to the Tollbar End Island, near Coventry, from 8pm on Friday 6th March until 6am Monday 9th March
  • A diversion route will be clearly signposted

As always, Crufts exhibitors are reminded to arrive at the show in good time, whatever the scheduled start time, to avoid traffic delays. The full list of travel updates is available at https://highwaysengland.co.uk/traffic.
