Kennel Club Breed Rescue Directory available as download

22nd December 2017 - 1:07 PM

For the first time, the Kennel Club Breed Rescue Directory has been made available on the Kennel Club website as a PDF download at www.thekennelclub.org.uk/getting-a-dog-or-puppy/finding-the-right-dog/kennel-club-breed-rescue/.

The 2018 edition of the directory provides initial points of contact for those searching for a rescue dog, and for those seeking advice on the possibility of having to rehome their dog, as well as being a valuable source of information for the general public, veterinary surgeries, dog wardens, police, dog clubs and other welfare organisations.

Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary, said: “We are confident that this online version of the Kennel Club Breed Rescue Directorywill be a valuable resource for anyone involved in the rehoming of dogs. The people who give up their time to help with rescue are so often the unsung heroes of the canine world, so we owe them a great debt of gratitude – and now people will be able to access their details all in one place when searching online, which should help to improve communication in this vital work.”

Rescue organisations wishing to update their details in the directory should email Hayley Swann-Ross at the Kennel Club – hayley.swann-ross@thekennelclub.org.uk. Please also contact Hayley if you wish to find out details of how an organisation can apply to be added to the list.
