Heelwork to Music Survey and Guide for Beginners

The Kennel Club is carrying out a survey on the discipline of heelwork to music.

Opinions are sought via an online survey to ensure any changes which might be made to the L regulations reflect the views of participants in this discipline. The deadline is 11th November 2016 and the survey can be accessed here.

Additionally, the Kennel Club has produced a beginner’s guide to heelwork to music competitions. It is hoped that this in-depth publication will help support those who are new to the discipline, as it covers subjects such as how to enter a competition and choosing costumes and props. The guide can be found here.

Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary, said: “The Kennel Club and its Heelwork to Music Working Party are keen to develop the discipline of heelwork to music in a positive way and raise standards across all levels of the competition, which is why this important survey is being carried out. At the same time, we are keen to give useful information to people new to the discipline, which hopefully will lead to more people taking a long-term interest in these worthwhile and fun competitions.”
