Talented Young Dog Lovers Win Place At World’s Greatest Dog Show, Crufts


Young dog lovers aged from just 6 to 24 years of age have spent the weekend competing with their dogs in Young Kennel Club (YKC) Agility and Grooming Crufts qualifiers at Eukanuba Discover Dogs at ExCeL London.

YKC members impressed the crowds, demonstrating their skills, and those of their dogs, whilst competing for a place in the finals, which will take place at Crufts 2016 at the NEC Birmingham.

Almost 50 YKC members took part in the competitions over the weekend, demonstrating a high standard of skills in both agility and obedience. The qualifiers will now go on to the finals held at the world's greatest dog show, Crufts in March 2016.

Gerald King, YKC Chairman said: "This is a major achievement that I know all of the finalists have worked so hard at. They competed in front of huge crowds at London's biggest dog event, adding to the pressure and nerves that I'm sure they were feeling.

"Well done to everyone that competed - the competition was tough and everyone did really well. The finals at Crufts are set to be of a high standard, and I wish everyone the best of luck."

Discover Dogs took place at ExCeL London on October 17th and 18th, attracting over 27,000 visitors.
