An opportunity has arisen for Kennel Club registered heelwork to
music societies to apply to host a Premier Heelwork to Music Crufts
2017 qualifying heat, for both heelwork to music and freestyle.
This is to replace the Blackpool heat, held in August.
In order for societies to be considered, they need to be fully
registered for heelwork to music (HTM) and have previously held
shows. They should also submit their intended show date, which must
not coincide with another HTM show. Applications should
include details of the society's committee structure and show their
management team, as well as provide information on the proposed
show venue, stating the facilities available for judges,
competitors, dogs and spectators.
Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary, said: "This is an excellent
opportunity for a registered heelwork to music society to give
those who attend their shows the chance to qualify for Crufts, and
showcase their talents in heelwork to music at the biggest and best
dog event in the world.
"We hope a number of societies will want to get involved in and we
look forward to receiving their applications."
Please apply in writing to either htm@thekennelclub.org.uk
or Working Dog Activities Team, The Kennel Club, Clarges Street,
London, W1J 8AB, or for further information call 020 7518
1013. Applications must be received by 20th November
2015.
