Changes To Heelwork To Music Rules And Regulations

The Kennel Club has made changes to the current heelwork to music regulations.

The General Committee has recently approved the following amendment to the regulations which will come into effect on 1st January 2016:

Eligibility for Classes

This is required to address an issue where two competitors, one Starter and one Novice, both worked the same dog and wished to enter the dog in both classes in the same division on the same day.  Whereas a dog should only be qualified at one level and is therefore only eligible to compete at that level at any show.

Accordingly the following amendment to Regulation L(A)6 is to be made:

A dog must only be entered in a class per day for which it is eligible in each category. A dog is only eligible for one level.

The General Committee has also recently approved the following amendment to the regulations which comes into effect immediately:

Insert of new Regulation L.12.i

A dog must not compete in the same class more than once, including special classes.
