Kennel Club Announces Change For Scottish Field Trial Societies Holding Retriever Trials

It has been agreed by the Kennel Club General Committee that, until further notice, the draws for all Retriever field trials for Scottish based societies will take place within the Kennel Club. This will take place with immediate effect.

All entries are to be collated by the secretary in the normal manner and the details are then to be submitted to the Field Trials office for the draw to be carried out. Societies must submit their entry details by email to no later than three days after the date specified in the schedule for the closing of entries. The draw will be carried out the next working day after the information has been received.

The schedule for each field trial must state a closing date for entries no later than three weeks prior to the date of the relevant trial. The following statement must be included:

'Should the trial be oversubscribed, a draw will be conducted by Kennel Club staff at the Kennel Club, 1-5 Clarges Street, Piccadilly, London W1J 8AB on the next working day following receipt of the form detailing the entries for the relevant trial.'

A copy of the draw will be returned by email to the secretary who will be responsible for publishing the draw in accordance with Regulation J.7.e, managing any withdrawals, and processing payments.

Societies who have already issued schedules for their trials must either re-issue them including the above information or ensure by other means that all recipients have received the information.

If you have any questions regarding this process please do not hesitate to contact the Field Trials Department by emailing or calling 020 7518 1059.
