C REGULATION CHANGES MADE BY THE KENNEL CLUB

The following amendments to the Kennel Club's 'C' Regulations have been recently approved by the General Committee and will come into effect on 1st January 2015.

Regulation C3.a.(15) and Regulation C3.d.(10):

From:

A rule stating that the accounts will be certified annually and presented to the members at the Annual General Meeting. NOTE: Certification of accounts must be carried out by one qualified accountant or two unqualified individuals with accountancy experience.

To:

A rule stating that the accounts will be certified annually and presented to the members at the Annual General Meeting. NOTE: Certification of accounts must be carried out by one qualified accountant or two individuals with accountancy experience.Those undertaking the certification must be independent from those who prepared the accounts.

From:

…A copy of the annual statement of accounts for the last financial year which must be certified in accordance with the rules of the society must be sent to all members of the society except that provision may be made in the rules of the society for the annual statement of accounts to be forwarded on request by a member, otherwise, it will be available for inspection by members at the Annual General Meeting and at times to be stipulated in the rules.

To:

…A copy of the annual statement of accounts for the last financial year which must be certified in accordance with the rules of the society must be sent to all members of the society,orprovision may be made in the rules of the society fora copy ofthe annual statement of accountsto be made available on request to members 14 days prior to the AGM.Additionally, the annual statement of accountswill be available for inspection by members at the Annual General Meeting and at times to be stipulated in the rules.
