New Dog Behaviour Lectures Announced For KCAI Career Zone At Crufts

Due to the huge demand for lectures on canine behavioural topics at the KCAI Career Zone, which is being held at Crufts in partnership with Purina PRO PLAN, two new lectures have been scheduled.

On Saturday 8thMarch, popular and respected canine behaviourist, Carolyn Menteith KCAI CDAwill be giving a lecture titled 'Aggression - Bite Me!'. This lecture replaces the second lecture which was to be delivered by Dr Jacqueline Boyd of Nottingham Trent University - 'Mind the Gap: The Challenge of Combining Academia and Application in Canine Science'.

Instead Jacquie will be holding informal sessions at the Career Zone BVNA Vet Engagement area between 10am - 12pm to explain and explore her fascinating research findings on the impact of agility on the canine athlete.

On Sunday 9thMarch, at 4pm, Carolyn will deliver a second lecture on 'Breed Specific Learning'. This lecture replaces Adrian Slater's lecture on gundog training which was originally scheduled to appear twice on that day. Adrian is a very well-known gundog training expert and there is still opportunity to hear him talk on this fascinating subject, with spaces currently available for his remaining lecture which takes place on Sunday 9thMarch at 10am.

All those who have booked for the cancelled lectures by Jacqueline and Adrian will be contacted by the Kennel Club and alternatives offered.

Registration to attend the KCAI Career Zone is open to all canine professionals and successful applicants will be sent a free ticket to Crufts.  There will be more information on Carolyn Menteith's lectures next week but if you wish to attend, you can book now by heading to
