Kennel Club Looking For Accredited Trainers In Rally

The Kennel Club is looking for Accredited Trainers in rally following the growth of the discipline over the last 12 months.

The Kennel Club adopted rally as a new activity at the end of 2012 and is now inviting applications from those interested who would like to be considered for the position of Rally Accredited Trainer for the judges' training programme for activity disciplines.

The judges' training programme has been developed over a long period of time and follows the requirements already in place for those involved in judging other canine activities. It underlines the Kennel Club's commitment to maintaining and improving the standard of judges and judging at official Kennel Club licensed events, and in so doing will ensure the quality of dogs and the value of awards they receive.

As part of the training programme, the Kennel Club has a number of Accredited Trainers for each activity responsible for delivering each seminar and conducting the examination.

All of the activity disciplines' Accredited Trainers are established judges of long standing and have attended training and assessment sessions prior to their appointment, in order to prove their own knowledge and competence in delivering the seminar syllabus.

Anyone interested in applying must meet the following criteria:

Those interested should send their application, including details of their canine experience with specific reference to rally, to Debbie Deuchar, Manager Working Dog Activities Team, The Kennel Club, 1-5 Clarges Street, Piccadilly, London W1J 8AB or by email by 31st October 2013.

Potential trainers will be invited to deliver a 10 - 15 min presentation on a given rally subject at the Kennel Club office in London on Friday 29thNovember.
