Kennel Club announces Agility Team GB 2018

The Kennel Club has announced the agility teams which will represent Great Britain at the European Open Agility Championships in Vienna, Austria from 27-29 July, and the FCI Agility World Championships in Kristianstad, Sweden from 4-7 October.

The Kennel Club has announced further dates of question and answer sessions and drop-in clinics being held about the Judges Competency Framework (JCF). Anyone interested in learning about the JCF is advised that they are not breed-specific and therefore open to all.
Appointment of judges at limited and open shows and for non CC classes at championship shows from 2020

Following the recent announcement that the transition period for the Judges Competency Framework (JCF) is to begin in 2020, a year later than originally planned, the Kennel Club has issued new guidance on the appointment of judges from 1st January 2020 onwards.
Victory for dog owners in UK's first successful PSPO legal challenge

Single-breed CC judges to pay only £10 per annum under new judge licensing scheme

Judges who award CCs in a single breed and do not aspire to judge any further breeds at any level will pay only £10 for a yearly judging licence under the Judges Competency Framework (JCF), the Kennel Club has announced.

Thousands of canines head to Stafford for huge dog show with over 200 breeds

Obedience Liaison Council meeting 19th July 2018

At its meeting on 28th February 2018, the Kennel Club Disciplinary Committee considered a complaint brought by the Kennel Club under Rule A11 a (1) (b) against Ms K McLoughlin; namely that she behaved discreditably and prejudicially to the interests of the canine world with threatening and verbal abuse towards another exhibitor at the Northumberland and Durham Collie Club Open Show on 21st October 2017.
A12 disciplinary case – Mrs A Smith

At its meeting on 28th February 2018, the Kennel Club Disciplinary Committee considered the convictions of Mrs A Smith, from Harrogate Magistrates Court for offences contrary to the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and the Breeding of Dogs Act 1973.

At its meeting on 28th February 2018, the Kennel Club Disciplinary Committee considered the conviction of Mr G Newton, from Leamington Spa Magistrates Court for common assault on 1st November 2017 arising from an incident at the English Toy Terrier Club Show on 1st April 2017.
