New DNA testing schemes for Spanish Water Dogs

The Kennel Club has approved two new official DNA testing schemes for neuroaxonal dystrophy (NAD) and congenital hypothyroidism with goiter (CHG) in Spanish Water Dogs, following consultation with the breed’s health co-ordinator on behalf of the breed club.

However, it has raised concerns about how the wider licensing regulations being laid before parliament can be effectively enforced.
