An opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join the Working Dog Activities Team within the Canine Activities department on a full time, permanent basis. You will provide support to all aspects of the Working Dog Activities Team within the Canine Activities department. The Working Dog Activities Team is responsible for facilitating the processes that support all working dog activities including Obedience, Agility, Working Trials and Field Trials.

Your role will be to co-ordinate administration activities for the Working Dog Activities Team with particular emphasis on Field Trials Committee, Liaison Council, Field Trial dates, awards and judges. Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The ideal candidate will have a good level of administration experience, proven database experience and strong IT skills including Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.  The ability to analyse and evaluate is essential, as is excellent organisation skills and experience of working on committees and in a governance role would be advantageous. You will be confident and comfortable putting forward ideas, maintaining data and systems, and working on your own initiative as well as assisting the team as required. Previous knowledge of the Kennel Club or of the canine world is desirable as you will be dealing with a range of people from the canine world on a daily basis. It is essential therefore that you are also an effective and confident communicator.
