Administrator, Education and Training Department

2 year Fixed Term Contract

We currently have two new Administrator positions in our Education, Training and Property department at the Kennel Club. These positions will be 2 year fixed term contracts based in our office in central London. You will handle all the bookings for the Kennel Club Building at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire which is the UK’s premier venue designed for canine events both big and small. You will also be liaising closely with clients to ensure the highest standards of customer care, and the on-site Caretaker to ensure each event runs smoothly as well as providing operational reports.

You will undertake the administration for training seminars, including updating and developing training materials and supporting trainers and presenters. Part of the role includes preparing copy for the website and the online Journal, as well as monitoring the effectiveness of the training and gaining customer feedback. In addition you will provide guidance to clubs and societies on organising seminars.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience of working in an administrative role, with good database skills within in a busy office. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential as is experience of liaising with different groups of people. Proven organisation skills are also a must. Your approach to work will be hands-on and you will very much be a team player, willing to help others when the need arises but also able to work on your own initiative. You will be comfortable in making decisions and working to deadlines as well as competent in Outlook, Word and Excel. Knowledge of the canine world would be advantageous as you will be dealing with a range of people from the canine world on a daily basis.

You must be willing to attend events outside the office as required such as Crufts and Discover Dogs and you will occasionally be asked to work at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire, so willingness to travel is essential. (Expenses are paid).
