Mitch’s Story

Even healthy pets can suddenly fall ill or have an accident. Having a pet insurance policy in place reduces the worry about affording expensive veterinary bills, helping you to focus on caring for your pet.

Facing a bill that reached over £5,500, Mr. and Mrs. Addis were very relieved they had a policy in place for Mitch, their Cocker Spaniel.

Abnormalities with Mitch’s anal glands were identified at a routine grooming appointment, which, following tests, a biopsy and a scan, unfortunately revealed cancer. Mitch was immediately referred to a specialist where he stayed for a few days.

Thankfully, Mitch’s Kennel Club Lifetime Pet Insurance Policy was there to step in and his concerned owners were saved the worry about finding the money for the cost of his treatment. We even settled this directly with the vet allowing Mr. and Mrs. Addis to concentrate on looking after Mitch.

We’re delighted that Mitch is now doing really well. However, should this condition recur in the future, his lifetime policy with Kennel Club Pet Insurance will be there to cover veterinary fees of up to £15,000 per annum, an amount that refreshes every year with a lifetime policy.
