Update from The Kennel Club regarding awards gained at all licensed events

The Kennel Club would like to give an update on the ongoing situation regarding the issuing of award certificates by our office across all disciplines, e.g. Challenge Certificates, Stud Book Numbers and Champion Certificates.

We hope that by the end of the year we will be in a position to start processing these awards, and will deal with the backlog in date order hoping to ensure that awards are received as soon as possible. Once again, we apologise for the delay in issuing awards.

Please bear in mind that in the meantime it is permitted to enter events or classes where eligibility is dependent upon awards and/or titles which are pending confirmation, e.g. moving from Limit to the Open class at dog shows. Also, in the case of Champion Stakes, exhibitors do not need to wait for their dog’s champion status to be confirmed before entering.

Exhibitors who have qualified their dog for Crufts 2022 by gaining a stud book number are advised that it is acceptable, when entering the show, to confirm their dog’s registration number and the name and date of the qualifying show, the class and award gained in the relevant sections of the Crufts entry form.

For any issues which may arise regarding eligibility, please email Notifications (The Kennel Club) . Again, we appreciate the patience and forbearance of exhibitors and competitors at this time and will continue to provide updates in due course on The Kennel Club website.
