Collection of unique artwork to be displayed at the Kennel Club Art Gallery

‘Hidden Treasures of the Kennel Club’ exhibition to open on 16th May

A new exhibition is set to be unveiled at the Kennel Club Art Gallery, showcasing the extensive collection of artworks and artefacts that have been collated by the Kennel Club throughout the years.
The first-of-its-kind exhibition, ‘Hidden Treasures of the Kennel Club’, runs from 16th May 2019 to 28th March 2020 and will reveal lesser-known relics as well as provide visitors with the unique opportunity to see rare items that have never been on public display before. Amongst the unique exhibits from the collection will be an assortment of silverware, such as the Crufts Reserve Best in Show Trophy, a compilation of gifts and correspondence sent to the Kennel Club to celebrate its centenary in 1973 and a very distinctive embroidered cloth made in 1910, which features the signatures of the famous dog people of that time.

The collection also includes original oil paintings, drawings, Crufts cartoons, bronzes and porcelain figures featuring a wide variety of breeds.

The Kennel Club Art Gallery, based in Mayfair, is open to all and free to visit by appointment. Visiting hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am-4.30pm. To book an appointment or for more information please contact the Kennel Club Art Gallery on 020 7518 1064 or email our Art Gallery.
