Kennel Club Hosts Talk with Pamela Jeans-Brown to Complement 'Magnificent Molossers' Art Exhibition

On Wednesday 5th July, Bullmastiff breeder and show judge Pamela Jeans-Brown will give a talk at the Kennel Club to accompany the current exhibition in the art gallery, ‘Magnificent Molossers’.

Pamela has almost 40 years’ experience with the Bullmastiff breed and has judged a number of Working and Pastoral breeds over the years at Crufts and other shows throughout Europe. The talk will focus on the history and development of some of the Molosser breeds and use examples of the exhibits on display in the art gallery throughout.

Anyone attending the talk will have the opportunity to view the Magnificent Molossers exhibition before or after. The exhibition features the Mastiff, Bullmastiff, Neapolitan Mastiff and Dogue de Bordeaux and runs until 28th July.

The ticketed event will commence at 11am with tea and coffee served upon arrival. Tickets cost £7.50 per person and can be booked through the art gallery on 020 7518 1064 or via email.

The ‘Magnificent Molossers’ exhibition includes a wide selection of art mediums featuring the Molosser, including oil paintings, engravings and bronze, resin and porcelain models, alongside other types of ephemera including dog collars and even a chess set complete with Bullmastiff figures. Other highlights include a wonderful collection of late 19th century bronzes from France and Germany, and a unique and very rare stud book and photograph album compiled by the famous Mastiff breeder, Reverend MB Wynn.

Much of the exhibition has been borrowed from private collections, making this a unique display featuring items that have never before been seen by the public.

The Kennel Club Art Gallery is open to all and free to visit, however an appointment is necessary. Visiting hours are Monday to Friday 9.30am-4.30pm. To book an appointment please contact the Kennel Club Art Gallery on 020 7518 1064 or via email.
