Kennel Club Building Is Ideal Venue For Dogs For Good’s Annual Charity Fun Day

The Dogs for Good charity is holding its annual fun day on Saturday 30th July at the Kennel Club Building at Stoneleigh. The day offers a great opportunity to enjoy an action-packed family day out, as well as to discover more about this inspirational charity and meet assistance dogs, puppies, volunteers and staff.

Attractions include a fun dog show, agility and flyball, heelwork to music with Mary Ray, Dogs for Good’s own incredible demonstration team, hands-on animal encounters with Wild Creature Features, Fire and Rescue Service search dog and handler, falconry, magician, face painting, circus skills workshops, West Midlands Police Dog demonstration team, and lots of trade stands and exhibitors. Have-a-go activities include power chair football and Paralympic sports wheelchair basketball and boccia (similar to bowls).

The whole day is a wonderful celebration of the extraordinary things that happen when people and dogs are brought together. Come and talk to people with an assistance dog and hear about the amazing work of the Banbury-based charity’s dogs and how they transform lives.

Representatives from the Kennel Club will also be on hand to answer questions about its Assured Breeder Scheme, which assists families in locating a responsibly-bred puppy, as well as questions on the Good Citizen Dog Scheme, the largest dog training programme in the UK.

The address is the Kennel Club Building, Stoneleigh Park, Stoneleigh, Warwickshire CV8 2LG and the event commences at 11am and will close at 3pm. Entry is free, with a suggested donation of £3 for parking. There will be a range of food and refreshments available to purchase. Well behaved dogs are welcome to attend but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times. More information can be found here.

Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary, said: “The Kennel Club is delighted that Dogs for Good is holding its annual fun day at the Kennel Club Building at Stoneleigh, which is an ideal venue for an event such as this.
