New Portrait Of Former Kennel Club Chairman Added To Art Collection

A new portrait of a former Kennel Club Chairman has been added to the Club's art collection.

The oil on canvas painting is a candid portrait of Professor Steve Dean BVetMed MRCVS DVR and his dogs Annaghbella Charm and Ch Stineval Acerola with Tyrian, and was painted by contemporary artist Patrick Jackson.

The portrait was painted using source photographs taken by noted photographer Marc de Henrie, and follows the format of the existing portraits of past Chairmen of the Kennel Club, while representing a 21st century take on formal portraiture.

The artist, Patrick Jackson, has produced many portraits of both people and animals, and studied at the Ecole Superieure d'Arts Graphiques Penninghen in Paris before embarking on his career. His work is held in private collections in the US, South Africa, Hong Kong and the UK. He lives and works in London.
