Canine Health Week 2017

Canine Health Week is an annual initiative to highlight resources, research and information to help make a difference to dog health. This year Canine Health Week highlights the most common health issues affecting dogs.

Aims to investigate the prevalence and the clinical characteristics of idiopathic epilepsy in German Shepherd Dogs and support the investigations into the genetic basis of this condition.

Giant Breeds – Atrial Fibrillation

Studying the correlation between atrial fibrillation and blood clots in giant breeds, namely Irish Wolfhounds, Deerhounds and Great Danes. To help improve knowledge on the prevalence of the condition and identify areas of research that could be studied to develop new treatments.
