Owner’s Name: Trudy Harrison

Dogs Name: Dogs Trust Rescue

Owners Constituency/ Region: Copeland

Why have you chosen to enter with a Dogs Trust rescue dog?

Our dog, at the grand old age of 14, sadly died. I would hope to find a home for the dog by promoting on social medic etc.

What are your favourite characteristics in a dog?

Big dogs are my favourite! Massive Mastiffs, Slobbering Danes, boisterous Bernese Mountain Dog.

Why are dogs the best companion animals?

Dogs are the best companion for loyalty, exercise, meeting people and security.

What dog welfare issues do you think need tackling?

League against Cruel Sports highlight that there would be 1 dog fight a day. The sentencing of 6 months is far too lenient.

What role does training and socialisation play in a dog’s life?

The bond between a dog and owner is special, one of trust and dependence.

Why should you and your Dogs Trust rescue dog be crowned Westminster Dog of the Year 2017?

To highlight the great work of Dogs Trust and to hope to find a well deserved home for him/her!
