Frank Geraghty has previously served in the Metropolitan Police Service.  He served in areas such as Diplomatic Protection, Armed Response, Counter Terrorism and the Leadership and Development Command.  He retired in 2012 after 30 years of service.  He is also an experienced adult educator who has been professionally qualified as a trainer within the UK Police Service.  Frank was the Lead on developing, managing and delivering specialist training to Counter Terrorism Officers.  It was during this time that he was trained in and gained practical experience of site inspection and assessment of training programmes, teams and individuals.  He has been awarded the Queen's Diamond and Golden Jubilee Medals as well as the Police Long Service and Good conduct medal for Meritorious Service.

Frank is a Kennel Club Member, KC Field Trial Panel Judge for Spaniels, Assessor for the KC Working Gundog Certificate, an ex KC ABS Regional Breeder Assessor and has been heavily involved in the administration and management of several breed and gundog clubs over the years. He is currently the Chairman of both the London Cocker Spaniel Society Field Section and the Working Minority Breeds Spaniel Club. He is also a Life Member of the London Cocker Spaniel Society.

Frank is now a professional gundog breeder and trainer based in Northumberland.  He has over 30 years' experience in the working gundog and field sports world.  He specialises in working spaniels (English Springers, Cockers and Clumbers) but also has experience with Labrador Retrievers.  Frank has won Field Trials with all three spaniel breeds he is involved in and has successfully shown his spaniels at Crufts over the years.  His passion is walked up shooting over his own dogs.  He also picks up and goes beating with his dogs on local shoots.  He is married to a teacher and 'referees' two teenage children.
