This annual competition began in 1998, and is specifically for Junior Warrant winners to compete against each other for the coveted title of 'The Kennel Club Junior Warrant Winner of the Year' award.

Each year, there is a series of qualifying heats at Open Shows held by General Canine Societies around the country, during June, July and August.

At each heat, four dogs and two reserves are selected by the judge and 64 dogs from the heats are then invited to the Semi Finals at Discover Dogs at ExCeL London. At Discover Dogs the dogs are exhibited in the main ring in two groups simultaneously and from this, the judges select the ten finalists to go on and compete at the Grand Final which is held at Crufts, the following March.
