Working Trial Excellent Award

Those who compete in Working Trials can now apply to add their dog's 'Excellent' awards in CD, UD and WD stakes to their dog's Kennel Club registration record. The Tracking Dog Excellent  (TD Ex) and Patrol Dog Excellent (PD Ex) awards will continue to be added automatically by the Kennel Club, on receipt of the Championship Working Trial catalogue from the society organising a Championship Trial.

Owners need to apply to add Companion Dog Excellent  (CD Ex), Utility Dog Excellent (UD Ex) or Working Dog Excellent  (WD Ex) to a dog's record, by sending a copy of the relevant qualification certificate to the Awards Section of the Canine Activities Department at the Kennel Club, 1-5 Clarges St, Piccadilly, London W1J 8AB.

Only the highest level award from the lower stakes can be added to the dog's record, so for example when a dog wins its UD Ex award, the CD Ex award will be replaced on the dog's record with UD Ex.  The award will appear whenever the dog's name is printed, whether on pedigrees, in the Breed Records Supplement (BRS), or any similar listing published by the Kennel Club.
