Veterinary Practice Guide to Dog Health
The Kennel Club introduced the Veterinary Practice Guide to Dog Health as a resource to assist veterinary surgeons and all practice staff to gain a greater familiarity with more detailed information on the 210 breeds of dog recognised by the Kennel Club, and the health and welfare issues that may be encountered with each one.

Breed Specific Health Information - Top 20 Registered Breeds
As you are aware, some breeds of dog (and crossbreeds too) can be susceptible to inherited disease. DNA tests for diseases in purebred dogs are available for some conditions in some breeds.

Altering the Natural Conformation of a Dog and Caesarean Sections
In 1990 the Kennel Club amended its rules so as to make it a condition of registration, or continued registration of any dog, that the owner consents to reports by a veterinary surgeon to the Kennel Club of the correction of any defect which altered the natural conformation of the dog.

In 2010 the Kennel Club further amended its rules to make it a condition of registration, or continued registration, that the owner consents to the reporting, to the Kennel Club, of any caesarean operation carried out on their bitch.
