We're very pleased to announce the launch of the Kennel Club Academy, an online learning resource for KCAI Scheme members.
This educational platform has been created to help KCAI members work towards their accreditation in a more structured and convenient way. It reduces the need for much of the paper-based accreditation process and provides a simple, user-friendly way for members to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of key topics relating to dog training, instructing and canine behaviour.
There are nine KCAI online 'A' module assessments to complete. Following successful completion of the 'A' module assessments, you will be eligible to submit an application for accreditation and to book the practical assessment. The practical assessment will offer you the opportunity to demonstrate teaching knowledge, skills and experience to achieve KCAI accreditation. Alternatively, if you've already started working your way through the existing paper-based KCAI 'A' Modules as part of your accreditation application and wish to continue to follow the paper-based route, this option will be available to you until the end of this year.
For ease of reference, below is a summary of the assessment criteria for seven of the nine 'A' module online assessments which have been approved to date.
