Kennel Club Question Time Heads to Berkshire

The views of dog owners are being sought in Berkshire and the Home Counties and surrounding areas as the Kennel Club’s Question Time event visits Newbury this July.

The Kennel Club’s Question Time evenings aim to give dog owners the opportunity to air their views, ask questions and find out about the latest issues that may affect them and their dogs. Hosted by the Kennel Club, organisers of the world’s greatest dog show, Crufts, Question Time events have been held throughout the UK for over a decade.

It is particularly hoped that attendees will take the opportunity to ask questions about the initiatives which have recently emerged from the Dog Health Group as well as the Dog Show Promotion (DSP) and Judges Competency Framework (JCF) working parties, as members of these will be on the panel.

The event will be held at 7pm on Wednesday 19th July at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Oxford Road, Newbury RG20 8XY, located at junction 13 of the M4. The session will offer the opportunity for anyone to air their views and question the Kennel Club Chairman and other senior representatives from the organisation. The event is free for all and guests are invited to arrive from 6.15pm for tea and coffee.

The Kennel Club hopes to engage with dog owners and encourage them to ask any questions, share thoughts and ideas and encourage dialogue with the Kennel Club about how everyone can work together to promote dogs in a positive light.

The panel members at the Question Time will include Simon Luxmoore, Kennel Club Chairman; Steve Croxford, Kennel Club Vice Chairman; Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary and Communications Director; Kathryn Symns, Canine Activities Executive; Nick Blayney, Dog Health Group Chairman; as well as Kennel Club Board members Mark Cocozza (DSP working party) and Jeff Horswell (JCF working party).

The event is free of charge but places must be booked in advance. Email Sue Sampson to reserve a place or by phone on 01296 318540.

To ensure that questions can be tabled on the night, please submit them in advance to Sue Sampson.

There are two additional Kennel Club Question Time events planned for 2017 – Bromley, Kent on September 26 and Cambridge on October 10. Further details of these events will be issued in due course.
