In response to the concerns expressed to the Kennel Club regarding the judging of German Shepherd Dogs, the matter was debated by the General Committee at its meeting this week. The committee identified the complexity of the issues and agreed these would benefit from further in-depth consideration.
A working party has been formed to give greater consideration to these issues and is expected to make initial recommendations in advance of the June committee meeting. The working party will include a panel specifically appointed to bring relevant expertise to the debate including veterinary surgeons and breed experts.
