The Kennel Club Accredited Instructors (KCAI) scheme’s Annual Event 2016 takes place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September and will be open to all canine professionals and those considering a career with dogs.
The annual event offers interesting and informative seminars, through theory-based sessions and practical workshops catering for a wide range of dog related professions and interests.
Renowned veterinarians, canine specialists, lecturers and trainers will be speaking on a wide range of topics and running specially tailored hands-on practical sessions. There will also be one-to-one sessions available with KCAI Regional Mentors for members working towards their accreditation or attendees interested in joining the KCAI scheme.
Professor Steve Dean (BVetMed, MRCVS, DVR), Stephen Jenkinson (MSc Countryside Management, PgDip Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling) and Dr Virginia Richardson (MA VetMB MRCVS) are just some of the high profile speakers sharing their expertise this year. KCAI Trainer of the Year 2015, Jane Arden, will also be speaking about applying a mindful approach to dog training.
The weekend, which will take place at the Kennel Club Building in Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, will cater to KCAI members and canine professionals interested in advancing their skills and knowledge, and offers an opportunity to network with other professionals in the dog world.
KCAI Chairman, Paul Rawlings said: “The KCAI Annual Event will help canine professionals further their continuing professional development and, in turn, contribute to improving the overall standard in the canine industry, which is an important objective of the KCAI scheme. The great thing about this event is that it allows those attending to tailor their programme of learning to their own interests and needs, as there is a wide range of lectures and practical sessions available.”
Day tickets are available for £70 for KCAI members and £85 for non-members, and weekend tickets are available for £130 for KCAI members and £160 for non-members.
