Kennel Club Seeking Three General Canine Societies To Host Junior Warrant Heats

19 April 2016    12:00

The Kennel Club is urgently seeking three General Canine Societies to host the Junior Warrant heat at their Club Open show in July/August 2016.

The semi-finalists selected at the heats compete at the semi-finals at Discover Dogs in October with the ten finalists being selected to compete at Crufts Dog Show 2017.

We are looking for one heat from each of the following areas:

North East (Durham, Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, Yorkshire)

Midlands (Derbyshire, Herefordshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire)

Scotland (shows around Scotland)

Twelve heats in total are held by General Canine Societies around the country scheduling Open Shows during July/August this year. These special events will be held after the close of the Open Shows.

The organising society will be responsible for selecting the judge, who will have previously awarded Challenge Certificates in at least one breed.

Clubs wishing to hold a Junior Warrant heat should contact Yvette Prosser or Steven Arnold by emailing cat@thekennelclub.org.uk by 6 May 2016.
