Father and daughter duo, Alan and Selena Bray, with their dogs
Upanova Dior Mine and Ag Ch Shanandi One and Only, won the
Small/Mixi Pairs Final at Eukanuba Discover Dogs at ExCeL London on
Saturday 17th October.
The Small/Mixi Pairs competition consists of eight heats of
jumping. The competition is open to small dogs (35cm or under at
the withers), partnering either a medium dog (over 35cm but 43cm or
under at the withers) or a large dog (over 43cm in height), with
heats scheduled as a special combined class for all grades of
Alan Bray said of their win, "We are absolutely thrilled to have
successfully defended our title from last year when Selena was
running at 6 months pregnant. We love this event and so do all our
dogs - they get really excited running in pairs, in front of the
crowd. It's a great show - really well organised."
It was a double celebration for Alan as also came third in the
competition with Louise Challis.
Handlers and dogs qualified to take part in the prestigious
finals by gaining points at qualifying heats held at agility shows
across the country during 2015.
