Online Entry System For Field Trials And Gundog Working Tests Launched

03 November 2014    14:00

The Kennel Club and Fosse Data Systems Ltd have launched a new online system for field trial and gundog working test entries and management, which is now available for competitors and secretaries to use.

The online system has been designed to streamline the process when entering and managing field trials and gundog working tests, and features include secure online entry, automatic draws and online payments by credit or debit card, as well as comprehensive and secure management tools for field trial secretaries. This will prevent undelivered or late entries sent through the post, making entering events more time and cost effective.

The system has been designed and developed by Fosse Data to Kennel Club specifications and reflects the previous paper-based process to ensure that the transition is as smooth as possible, with users being presented with a familiar format for the electronic system. For electronic payments, an administration fee will be processed by Fosse Data Systems Ltd for card payments and full payment taken for those competitors who are selected in the draw for a run at a trial or gundog working test.

Nigel Dear, Kennel Club Field Trials Secretary, said: "The Kennel Club is delighted to be launching an efficient and more modern entry system for field trials and gundog working tests with Fosse Data, who already provide us with a secure and robust system for other events.

"The electronic system will be a convenient and easy way for competitors to enter trials and gundog working tests, and for those who may not have access to a computer, paper entry will still be accepted."

Kathy Gorman, Managing Director of Fosse Data Systems Ltd said: "Fosse Data is proud to be launching this innovative system with the Kennel Club and is excited to see entries for gundog events moving forward in line with other canine activities.

"We are looking forward to hearing feedback from users and will offer full customer support for those who need help or guidance when using the new electronic system."

Fosse Data Systems Ltd is a trusted partner of the Kennel Club, which, along with many registered clubs, already uses some form of online system for shows and competitions. Fosse Data Systems Ltd is employed by the Kennel Club to process entries for Crufts, and has a record of innovative and secure systems delivery.

To enter a field trial via the electronic system, visit www.fossedata.co.uk/fdft. New users should click the 'I am a New User' button and follow the instructions for creating a new user account.

Secretaries who wish to make their field trials available for online entry via the system should contact Ida on 01945 461904 or via ida@fossedata.co.uk.
