KCAI Career Zone Lectures Announced For Crufts 2015

The KCAI Career Zone in partnership with PRO PLAN is to return to Crufts 2015 and the lecture and seminar programme has recently been announced.

The lectures will take place throughout Crufts from 5th- 8thMarch 2015 and are open to canine professionals and all those interested in working with dogs. The lectures which are delivered by industry experts cover an extensive range of subjects which everybody who works with dogs or those who would like to, can benefit from.

Dog trainers and canine behaviourists can look forward to lectures including 'Training and behaviour - no walks no worries' with Sian Ryan from COAPE, and 'The truth about wolves and dogs' with author and practitioner
Toni Shelbourne.  

Gundog training enthusiasts can hear popular gundog trainer and public speaker Adrian Slater giving advice on setting up a gundog training class, and training techniques from beginner through to advanced level, whilst KCAI's Jane Hanshaw KCAI (CDABehA) will be providing advice on gundogs in companion dog training classes.

The Kennel Club has announced that Professor Daniel Mills, European and RCVS recognised specialist in veterinary behavioural medicine, and the first Professor of Veterinary Behavioural Medicine based at the University of Lincoln, 
will be the Career Zone keynote speaker on Friday 6th March 2015 with a fascinating lecture titled 'Training a dog not to show pain doesn't stop it hurting! - insights into the role of pain in problem behaviour".

PRO PLAN will again work together with the KCAI scheme to provide the very best advice and learning opportunities throughout the show. Nutrition experts and veterinary professionals will be providing unbiased, scientific lectures which have been met with positive acclaim at previous events.

The British Veterinary Nursing Association will once again be part of the KCAI Career Zone, offering daily lectures on topics such as 'First aid for pet owners' and 'Making the most of your veterinary nurse', as well as having a presence on the KCAI Expert Panel, where they will be available to offer advice for those working or aspiring to work in the veterinary nursing industry, alongside other industry luminaries who will be available to offer careers advice on a one-to-one basis.
