Agility Competitors Qualify For Crufts In Large ABC Competition

Joanne Sullivan and Alfredo Frog beat 20 pairs of dogs and handlers to win the Large ABC (Anything But a Collie) Agility semi-final at the Kennel Club's Discover Dogs event at Earls Court on Sunday 10thNovember. The talented duo will now compete in the grand final at the world's greatest dog show, Crufts 2014.

Handlers and dogs qualified to take part in the semi-finals by gaining points at qualifying heats held at agility shows across the country during 2013.  The grand finals of the two ABC competitions will take place at Crufts 2014, featuring the following top ten dogs and handlers from the Discover Dogs semi-finals:

1st - Joanne Sullivan with Alfredo Frog

2nd - Lucy Waldron with Exmoor Kangaroo Kid

3rd - Jenna Allinson with Gonegos Soft Parade

4th - Becci Chant with Nantiderri's Black Lace

5th - Graham Burgess with Notchlings On A Shoestring

6th - Angie Edwards with Dunnellons Gottabe Spot On

7th - Elaine Sherwin with Penwest Phoebus At Tarnwalk AW(S)

8th - Christine Russell with Galways Rominy Ruby

9th - Neil Henderson with Delark Black Pearl

10th - Kevin Holmes with Coklebelshay Indian Trail

Discover Dogs took place on 9-10thNovember at Earls Court, London and attracted a crowd of over 34,000 over the two days. For further information, please visit www.discoverdogs.org.uk.
