Help Maintain The Future Of Dog Shows With Kennel Club Seminar

13 December 2013    16:30

In its dedication to maintaining and developing the world of dog shows, the Kennel Club is holding a Show Management Seminar in conjunction with Manchester Championship Dog Show on Saturday 18th January 2014, in the Boden Room at Staffordshire County Showground.

The seminar is designed to cover all aspects of holding a dog show, from planning and administration to venue selection and health and safety, and will provide an opportunity for those attending to learn from each other's experience and ideas.

Kathryn Symns, Kennel Club Canine Activities Executive, said: "We would thoroughly recommend the Show Management Seminar to anyone wishing to learn more about planning and executing a successful dog show.

"It really is the perfect opportunity to learn about best practice and to exchange ideas with others who may have more experience in planning and running a show.

"The seminar has proved very popular in the past and we are hoping for a good response for January's event, which will do its part in encouraging more people to play an active role in dog shows."

The principal speaker at the seminar is Yvonne Billows, who is an experienced organiser of large and small shows and provides an energetic and participative style to the workshop format.
