Waiting Staff

The Kennel Club, London

Permanent, Monday–Friday 35 hours

The Kennel Club currently has an opportunity for a waiter/waitress within our restaurant and bar in our Mayfair office. The Club department is responsible for the hospitality and catering services provided by the Kennel Club and particularly the provision of a high quality food and beverage service to our Members, their guests and committees.

We are looking for someone with good waiting experience who has worked in a similar environment, who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and can work under their own initiative with speed and efficiency. You will work as part of a team to provide a high quality service so that the reputation of the Kennel Club hospitality service is maintained and enhanced. Experience of silver service would be an advantage, but training will be given for the right applicant.

If you have worked in a similar environment and have strong communication skills, a friendly and positive attitude plus the ability to be calm under pressure, we would be pleased to hear from you. Knowledge of the EPOS system would be an advantage as would stock taking skills.

The club does not open at weekends and the hours will be 8am to 4pm, however the role will occasionally require you to stay some evenings when a function is taking place, for which overtime will be paid. Competitive salary.

If you are interested in applying for this position, please send your CV and covering letter to Lorna Chalk, Human Resources Advisor at jobs@thekennelclub.org.uk. A full job description is available from this e-mail address.

Closing date for applications is Friday 16 June 2017.
